With this option you will boot your existing Grub configuration file.

You can select the AUTO option. (RECOMMENDED)


Or you can manually select the /boot/grub/menu.lst or
/grub/menu.lst file  from the hard disk and partition you want.

Options that talk about slices are only suitable for people that
have Unix systems based on slices such as freebsd, bsd, netbsd
and opensolaris.

Example:

Has Windows rewritten your MBR?
Now you will be able to boot your Gnu/Linux.

SGD has not been able to restore Grub to your MBR?
Now you've got a chance of booting your Gnu/Linux
and restore your Grub from inside it with the command:
# update-grub
